Our Mission
 The mission of United Way is "mobilizing resources to meet community needs." United Way is focused on improving lives and building a stronger community . United Way raises funds during the United Way campaign, held annually during the fall. Donors contribute to United Way through workplace giving programs (using payroll deduction), one time donations and planned giving. Dollars raised during the annual campaign are invested in local programs that are creating lasting changes in peoples' lives and the community.
Local and Independent
Business and community leaders serve on the Board of Directors and oversee the operations of United Way. Though a member of the United Way of America, here in Sangamon County, all fundraising, agency funding and policy decisions are made by local volunteer leadership.
